Family\-owned funeral home seeking full\-time Administrative Assistant. This position plays a vital role in managing administrative tasks, providing support to families, and ensuring the smooth operation of funeral services.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support: Administrative Assistant is responsible for handling various administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, managing correspondence, and maintaining records. They ensure that all paperwork related to funeral services is completed accurately and efficiently.
Client Interaction: Administrative Assistant often serve as the first point of contact for grieving families, providing compassionate support and guidance during a difficult time. This includes scheduling appointments, and assisting families with necessary arrangements.
Facility Management: Position make include maintaining the funeral home’s facilities, ensuring that the environment is respectful and welcoming for families and visitors. This includes overseeing the setup and takedown of service areas.
Required Skills
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with families and coordinating with staff.
Computer Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), data entry, email communication, record management, and basic office equipment operation. Ability to maintain confidential client records, and learn funeral home management software efficiently. Familiarity with obituary posting, and social media or website updates is also beneficial.
Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records is crucial for the efficient operation of the funeral home.
