Aftercare Specialist

**Location:** Winter Garden, FL **Schedule:** Second shift, 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM, with alternating weekend night shifts (Part\-Time) **About Us:** Resting Rainbow of Orlando provides pet families with honor, dignity, and respectful services, including transportation, tracking, cremation, and memorial support. The Winter Garden location serves the Greater Orlando area and operates year\-round, with a mission centered on compassionate care, ethical handling, and clear identification from pickup through return of remains. **Key Responsibilities** * Safely and respectfully transport pets from veterinary clinics, residences, and partner locations to the facility in accordance with company procedures. * Maintain strict identification, chain\-of\-custody, and tracking procedures to ensure each pet is handled accurately from pickup through final return. * Assist with intake, documentation, labeling, and preparation of pets and memorial items for aftercare services. * Support cremation and aftercare operations staff in accordance with company standards, cleanliness expectations, and applicable safety procedures. * Prepare remains, keepsakes, paw prints, certificates of cremation, urns, and other memorial items for delivery or pickup as assigned. * Deliver completed remains and memorial items to families or veterinary partners with professionalism, empathy, and discretion. * Communicate clearly and compassionately with veterinary clinic teams, families, and internal staff regarding pickups, deliveries, and service updates. * Keep company vehicles, equipment, work areas, and care spaces clean, organized, and presentation\-ready. * Follow on\-call schedules, route assignments, and time\-sensitive service needs, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed for a 24/7 operation. * Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and a high standard of dignity in every interaction and every step of the aftercare process. **Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record. * Comfortable driving regularly throughout the Greater Orlando area. * Ability to lift and move pets of varying sizes with care and proper equipment. * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow identification and documentation procedures. * Comfortable working in an aftercare, cremation, and memorial services environment. * Professional, calm, and compassionate communication skills. * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. * Experience in pet care, veterinary services, funeral service, transportation, or logistics is preferred but not required. **Ideal candidate traits** * Compassionate and emotionally mature. * Respectful and discreet in sensitive situations. * Organized and process\-driven. * Comfortable balancing empathy with efficiency. * Trustworthy and committed to dignified care. * Team\-oriented with a strong service mindset. **Physical requirements** * Ability to lift, carry, push, and move pets and equipment safely. * Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. * Ability to lift up to 100 lbs independently. * Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently and handle local driving routes. * Ability to work in a facility environment that includes cremation and aftercare operations. Pay: $16\.00 \- $20\.00 per hour Work Location: In person
