Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly talented and energetic **Area Vice President of Funeral Home Operations** for our **Northeast Region.** The Area VP of Operations is responsible for all aspects of Operations, facilities management, financial and P\&L requirements, and team development for the assigned region of responsibility. This position is also responsible for the profitable planning, direction, and coordination of funeral homes, cemeteries, and employees in an assigned region while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. **This is a Hybrid (Remote \& Field) role.**
**Overview \& Responsibilities:**
* Completes responsibilities for the region's P\&L and the profitable success of all assigned facilities
* Works closely with the CCO, researches, evaluates, develops plans, presents finding and costs, gains approval for and implements programs that enhance the profitability of the region
* Coaches, motivates, mentors, and teaches Location Leaders and teams within the region; holds team members accountable for the highest levels of performance
* Demonstrates expertise in team member engagement, motivation, coaching, and interpersonal skill
* Works closely with the COO and FP\&A team, leads regional budget preparation, workforce and equipment utilization, scheduling, and CapEX programs within the region
* Promotes and monitors regulatory compliance and safety programs of the region and monitors compliance with OSHA, FTC rules, and FPG policies
* Ensures that standards and procedures are uniformly understood and consistently interpreted and administered
* Reviews monthly, weekly, and daily employee financial reports, labor hours, and productivity reports to ensure effective and equitable use of workforce and overtime
* Provides exceptional customer service to all families and customers; clearly articulates the value of ShareLife® and ensures every family is offered every option every time
* Preforms related duties as assigned by the CCO
* Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures
**Requirements \& Qualifications:**
* Mortuary Science Degree or Bachelor of Business preferred
* Licensed funeral professional is preferred
* Minimum six years of progressively complex funeral service, cemetery, or equivalent position
* Strong leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and unimpeachable business ethics
* Excellent organization and communication skills
* Strategic thinking; innovative and process\-oriented
Ability to make a decision based on financial and business analytics
