Assistant Cemetery Manager

**Job Summary**

The historic Mt. Olivet Cemetery is seeking a candidate for the position of Assistant Manager. The prospect candidate is an experienced administrative professional with a Bachelor's degree and experience in office management and/or cemetery service. Experience working in a funeral home or cemetery setting is a plus, but not required.

**Duties**

* Assist the Cemetery Manager in overseeing daily operations of the cemetery; supervise Cemetery counselors, coordinate burial schedules and office appointments
* Assist with interment order in-takes and process the necessary paperwork
* Provide quality and empathic customer service
* Assist with answering inquiries from families, clergy, parishes, and the general public
* Assist the Manager with compiling data for various reports and budget setting

* Ability to assess situations and use sound judgment to make decisions while adhering to company policy and managerial advisement
* Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
* Ability to be a self-starter and set workflow goals and objectives
* Ability to work in a cemetery setting and be dedicated to the mission of the organization
* Ability to use a desktop computer and use software applications to research and input information with limited assistance
* Ability to work in various weather conditions
* Ability to provide quality customer service to grieving families and assist them with their burial and memorialization needs

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
