Backhoe Operator

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a skilled Backhoe Operator to join our cemetery. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, including backhoes and excavators. This role involves working on site ensuring safety and efficiency. Candidates should possess strong mechanical knowledge and a solid background.

**Duties**

* Operate backhoes and other heavy equipment such as excavators
* Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
* Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately
* Load and unload materials using appropriate machinery
* Support site cleanup and organization after project completion

**Skills**

* Proven experience operating backhoes
* Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery
* Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
* Knowledge of site safety standards and procedures
* Commercial driving experience preferred for operating transport vehicles
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions
* Physical ability to operate heavy machinery safely for extended periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
