Our dedicated team is the backbone of our success, ensuring we meet the needs of funeral professionals with quality products and services. **Job Overview** We are seeking a motivated Backhoe Operator/Cemetery Worker to join our team. In this role, you will operate heavy equipment such as backhoes to open and close burial graves. As a Cemetery Worker at CVI Funeral Supply, you will play a vital role in the graveside funeral service. This position is essential to our mission of providing dignified services and support to those in need. **Duties** * Operate backhoes to open and close burial graves in cemeteries * Graveside installation of equipment including the tent, greens, chairs, lowering device and casket placer for outer burial containers. * Lower the casket into the burial container and then into the grave once the service is complete. * Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance * Follow all safety protocols and procedures during equipment operation and site work * Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage **Experience** * Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including backhoes * Knowledge of mechanical systems and basic repairs for heavy machinery * Prior experience working on construction sites or in cemetery maintenance environments * Valid commercial driver’s license with experience driving dump trucks preferred * Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation **Requirements** * Valid driver's license * Ability to pass a background check and drug screen folloiwng Federal DOT regulations * Ability to pass a physical and obtain a medical card. * Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. * Six day work week; Monday\-Saturday If you are passionate about providing a service that honors our loved ones, we invite you to apply for this position at CVI Funeral Supply today!
