Bereavement Counseling Professional

**Job Summary/Purpose** Demonstrates compassion helping both adults and children of all ages with their mental, physical, and emotional health with supportive counseling, grief education and advocacy. **Things You Need to Know about the Bereavement Counseling Professional Role:** * This is a Full\-time role with the hours of: 8AM\-4:30PM. * This professional will collaborate with the Bereavement Coordinator and share coverage as needed * This position is based out of Newark, but will require travel to Columbus, Marysville, and Lancaster. * The role involves managing a caseload of therapy clients, as well as providing telehealth and phone support to hospice families and member of the community. * This role serves both children and adults, requiring flexibility in working with diverse age groups and needs. **Qualifications** * Master of Social Work preferred or Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy, Master of Divinity degree related Master of other psychosocial degree. a. Active LISW, PCC, PC, LSW, or MFT license in the State of Ohio without any board actions. or; b. Master of Divinity or Master of other psychosocial degree meets all qualifications of Bereavement Counseling Professional of Ohio’s Hospice. * Minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably in a health care setting with extensive knowledge of death/dying, grief, loss and survivorship issues, experience with grief in counseling role including individual, family and group therapy. * Certification in Hospice \& Palliative Medicine (ACHP\-SW or CHP\-SW) or ADEC preferred, or Certification in Grief Counseling or other appropriate certification. * Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care. * Travel may be required during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather. * Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record * State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage **Benefits \& Perks: your health and happiness matters!
