Bereavement Support Volunteer needed!
Job Description
**Overview**
At Alameda Care Hospice we are committed to providing compassionate care and support to patients and their families during life's most difficult moments. Our bereavement program extends that care beyond a patients passing\-helping families navigate grief and healing with empathy and understanding.
Position overview:
We are looking for a kind, detail oriented volunteer to assist our Bereavement coordinator in preparing and sending out bereavement letters to families who have recently lost a loved one. This role plays an important part in ensuring families continue to feel supported after hospice services have ended.
Responsibilities:
\-Assist with folding and addressing bereavement letters and cards
\-organize and prepare mailings for timely delivery
\-Support Bereavement coordinator with any tasks or events as needed
