Building Maintenance Technician

**Job Summary** Mount Olivet Cemetery Association is searching for a skilled and efficient **Building Maintenance Technician** to keep our buildings in excellent condition. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining building systems, performing repairs, and supporting ongoing maintenance projects. You will respond to reports of buildings and equipment in need of repair, applying your knowledge and skills to inspect and diagnose the issue, and develop and implement a repair plan. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills in a setting that values quality workmanship and customer service. Hours are generally Monday \- Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but on\-call availability is required for problems that occur outside the general work hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends as our buildings are open 7\-days per week. **Responsibilities** * Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. * Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems and fixtures, plumbing systems and fixtures, HVAC units, and structural components. * Conduct projects and minor carpentry tasks to maintain the facility’s aesthetic appeal. * Assist with facilities maintenance projects. * Perform all work in adherence with safety standards and procedures. * Ensure work is completed efficiently. * Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from management while maintaining a positive attitude. * Perform other general facility duties when requested by management. **Requirements** * Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building repair roles. * Prior experience in basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC repairs and diagnostics. * Hands\-on experience using a variety of hand and power tools. * Familiarity with diagnostic tools used in troubleshooting electrical issues. * Strong communication skills in English to collaborate with team members and report on maintenance activities clearly. * Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, or working in confined spaces safely. * Willingness and ability to work in all weather conditions. * Valid Texas Driver's License and insurable driving record to allow travel between multiple buildings and locations.
