Cathedral Cemetery Administrative Assistant

**Diocese of Scranton** **Cemetery Administrative Assistant** The Diocese of Scranton is currently looking for qualified applicants for a full\-time Administrative Assistant position at Cathedral Cemetery located in Scranton. This position interacts with families, funeral directors and others who are in need of various cemetery services. The successful candidate must be well organized and a team player, possess good communication skills and needs to be computer proficient with fiscal related experience. The Diocese of Scranton offers a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package. Some half day Saturday hours will be required. **Specific Duties and Responsibilities:** ● Answering questions and providing general assistance to families, funeral directors and other cemetery stakeholders in a professional and compassionate manner. ● Entering all necessary information from daily reports into computer system and continuously updating interments, inventory and lot sales. ● Responsible for various fiscal tasks and associated reporting including cash receipts, accounts receivable, billings, bank deposits, credit card transactions and sales of cemetery lots, crypts etc. ● Assist the Cemetery Superintendent with daily responsibilities as needed.
