Cemetery Administrator

**Duties**

* Manage daily cemetery operations, including scheduling and coordinating funeral and memorial services with families, funeral directors, and vendors
* Provide exceptional customer service by assisting families with inquiries, guiding them through burial options, and offering bereavement support when needed
* Oversee records management, ensuring accurate documentation of burials, plot sales, and maintenance activities in compliance with regulatory standards
* Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of caskets, grave markers, and other materials following safe lifting practices to ensure safety for yourself and others
* Coordinate event planning for memorial services, including setup, logistics, and post\-service follow\-up
* Maintain the cemetery grounds by overseeing groundskeeping activities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and respectful appearance at all times
* Provide on\-call coverage for emergency situations or urgent requests outside regular hours to support families during critical moments

**Experience**

Proven administrative experience with strong organizational skills and **attention to detail**

* Experience working in funeral \& mortuary services or related fields such as event coordination or client communication preferred but not required.
* Knowledge of funeral directing processes and familiarity with records management systems is highly desirable
* Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
* Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach when working with grieving families
* Ability to drive safely between cemetery locations or off\-site meetings as needed
* Previous experience in sales or event planning is a plus but not required
* Previous experience working in cemetery admin a plus, but not required.
