**Position Title:** Cemetery Grounds Technician**Job Posting Closing Date:** 04/01 Provo City is seeking a full\-time Parks Projects Grounds Technician to perform work at Provo City Cemetery. This position involves maintaining grounds and landscapes. Employees also receive great perks: free use of the Provo Recreation Center and Peaks Ice Arena, a Provo Library card, 50% off green fees at Timpanogos Golf Course, **a 4/10 work schedule**, and others.**What are the main duties?*** Perform general grounds maintenance work. * Mow and trim grass. * Perform various fertilization techniques using dry and liquid chemicals as directed. * Install and maintain irrigation systems. * Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and grass. * Dig and prepare grave sites at the cemetery. * Perform general custodial and cleanup of facilities. * Set up equipment for special events. * Prepare estimates for landscape projects. * Operate and maintain a variety of job\-related equipment and tools (heavy and light). * May supervise and train lower\-level employees. * Assist staff as needed and perform other related duties as required. **What are the minimum requirements?***Provo City will honor equivalent experience at all levels.* Level I* One year of experience in lawn and tree care, general construction, light/heavy equipment operation, and/or other job\-related experience. * A valid, lawful Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL). Level II* High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) * Two years of experience as a Grounds Technician I OR three years of general construction, grounds maintenance, or other job\-related experience. * A valid, lawful Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL). * A valid Utah Pesticide Applicator License Senior* High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) * Three years of experience as a Grounds Technician II OR six years of general construction, grounds maintenance, or other job\-related experience. * A valid, lawful Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL). * A valid Utah Pesticide Applicator License **What is the schedule?** This position is full\-time, 40 hours a week.**What is the selection process?** Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on **April 2, 2026****.** Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
