Cemetery Groundskeeper

**Job Summary** Join our team as a Cemetery Groundskeeper and play a vital role in maintaining the dignity and beauty of our cemetery grounds. The Pine River Cemetery District in Bayfield Colorado is seeking to fill a position for a part time cemetery maintenance worker. This position includes but is not limited to the duties described: * Mow, water and maintain the grass, plants, trees and scrubs planted at the cemetery. * Maintain and repair the sprinkler system used to water the cemetery. * Small equipment repairs for mowers. * Open and close grave for burial of cremains on an occasional basis. * Mark, settle and restore grave locations before and after burials. * Pick up and discard trash and old decorations as needed. * Maintain pump, pump house and maintenance building. * Record new burials and keep display maps updated. * Place crosses on graves for Veterans and maintain current list of veterans. **Skills** * Proficiency in landscape maintenance techniques including lawn care, gardening, and horticulture principles. * Experience with irrigation systems installation, repair, or operation a plus. * Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes effectively. * Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment. Physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.
