Cemetery Laborer and Grounds Maintenance

**Job Summary** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment. This role involves a variety of tasks including landscape maintenance, lawn care, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces. We also would like this person to assist with burials, burial repairs, lawn seeding, monument preparations and overall grounds maintenance. The Maintenance Person will utilize both hand tools and power tools to perform their duties effectively. **Responsibilities** * Perform regular landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, and irrigation of gardens and lawns. * Utilize power tools and hand tools for various maintenance tasks. * Conduct groundskeeping activities to ensure the property is well\-kept and visually appealing. * Maintain cleanliness of all outdoor areas, removing debris and litter as needed. * Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. * Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently. **Requirements** * Proven experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping preferred. * Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. * Knowledge of lawn care techniques, including fertilization, pest control, and irrigation practices. * Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. * Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. * Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. * Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
