CEMETERY LABORER

It is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required. **Location:** Rapid City, SD **Job Summary:** We’re looking for hardworking and detail\-oriented individuals to assist our Cemetery Maintenance Team in the upkeep of Mt. View – Mt. Calvary Cemeteries. Primary tasks will be to mow, trim around all the monuments and clean up. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** * Requires ability to operate hand tools and other power equipment. * Operate power equipment to trim grass, shrubbery, and trees, as well as edge sidewalks and around monuments. * Operate mowing equipment both walk\-behind and riding mowers. * Move materials, equipment and supplies * May plant trees, shrubs and flowers. * Perform minor maintenance to mowing equipment, buildings and structures. Other duties may be assigned. * **Qualifications:** * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Knowledge of landscaping practices and basic equipment operation. * Ability to walk for extended periods carrying equipment. Must poses a valid driver’s license. * **Work Environment:** * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
