Cemetery Maintenance

The City of Athens is seeking individuals who enjoy working outdoors to join our seasonal maintenance team in the Lands and Buildings department. Duties include (but are not limited to) the following: * General cemetery maintenance * Mowing, weeding, raking, landscaping, weed spraying * Lifting heavy materials * Working in adverse weather conditions * Maintaining a clean environment with litter pick up and disposal * Operation of equipment: cemetery vehicles, mowers, tractors, etc. * Other duties as assigned This is a seasonal position expected to last about 120 days, and is covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act. The pay rate is $12\.00 per hour depending on experience. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by date of hire to apply. Applicants must be able to work weekends.
