Job Title: Cemetery Maintenance Crew Company: Hauck Enterprises / Georgia Cemetery Servies Pay: Up to $20\.00 Hourly Location: Macon, Georgia Position Overview: Georgia Cemetery Services is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery in Macon, GA. As a member of the crew, you will be responsible for the upkeep of the cemetery grounds, installing headstone memorials and providing assistance during burials. We are looking for someone the has backhoe operation and tractor operation experience, as it is a crucial aspect of this role. Experience in a similar field is preferred. This position offers competitive pay, up to $20\.00 per hour, based on experience. Responsibilities: \-Operate backhoe to excavate gravesite in preparation for burials. \- Install headstone memorials in accordance with cemetery guidelines and customer requests \- Assist with burial preparations, including digging graves and ensuring the site meets all safety requirements \- Operate and maintain tractor trailers and other equipment used in cemetery maintenance \- Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks \- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment Requirements: \- Previous experience operating backhoes and tractors \- Proficiency in headstone installation techniques and burial procedures \- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions \- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects up to or over 75 lbs \- Excellent teamwork and communication skills \- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record \- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as necessary Preferred Qualifications: \- Previous experience in cemetery or funeral home maintenance \- Familiarity with cemetery regulations and procedures \- Basic knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping practices Job Type: Full\-time Pay: Up to $20\.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Experience: * Backhoe operation: 3 years (Required) * Landscape maintenance: 3 years (Required) * Groundskeeping: 3 years (Required) * Blueprint reading: 3 years (Preferred) Ability to Commute: * Macon, GA 31204 (Required) Ability to Relocate: * Macon, GA 31204: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
