We are currently seeking a Maintenance Foreman in the Birmingham area. As part of our team you will be the lead maintenance worker for the assigned cemetery and responsible for supervising and performing the layout and preparation of interments, the arrangement of canopies and chairs for ceremonies, the installation of grave markers and memorials, equipment maintenance, direct any landscape crews, debris removal and other various land maintenance tasks. You may also be required to direct any landscape crews. Your ability to operate heavy equipment such as backhoes and tractors will be a requirement of this position. Prospective candidate would need to possess the following; * **Experience operating a backhoe and tractor** * **Experience supervising work crews** * Ability to operate hand held tools and equipment * Ability to accurately use measuring devices * Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. * Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions (hot/cold) * Maintain, repair, clean and properly store equipment * Ensure compliance with the operating procedures and safety rules * Ability to communicate effectively Your position is important to our ability to meet our client’s needs. The job will operate on a 40 hour/week, flexible shift that may require overtime and/or weekends as necessary. The position is expected to earn up to $24\.00 per hour depending on experience.
