Cemetery Sexton / Caretaker

**Job Overview** Through training from the current Sexton, and on site work, become the Sexton/Caretaker of the Glenwood Cemetery in Littleton, NH. This position involves being the main overseer of all operations held at the cemetery and surrounding town cemeteries (9 total). This position is a full\-time salaried position and requires experience in multiple avenues. If you are interested in working outdoors, problem solving, managing a team of seasonal workers, maintenance and upkeep with top notch quality, and helping families in difficult times, then this may be the job for you. **Duties** * Overall landscaping of all cemeteries including, but not limited to, mowing, trimming, loaming, seeding, watering, adjusting misaligned or sunken stones/monuments, filling, brush\-cutting, tree\-felling, etc... * Managing a team of seasonal workers and ensuring a safe work environment above all else. * Opening and closing of graves with equipment and hand tools year round. * Installing foundations for monuments. * Installing government markers. * Ensuring and researching proper grave location within the cemeteries. * Rubbish removal * Maintenance of roadways including grading, sweeping, raking, and plowing. * Maintenance of buildings * Maintenance of equipment * Maintenance and supervision of waterlines, including repair, emptying, and reconnecting. * Performing office duties, including record keeping and the upkeep of existing records of all burials, selling new lots, managing paperwork, managing all correspondence with customers and the public regarding burials, plot sales, records, or any other inquiries. * Billing and collecting payment on foundations and burials. * Placing and upkeep of veteran flags. **Qualifications/Experience\*** \*It is preferred, but not required, that the candidate has experience in majority of the following list, we understand this position covers a broad spectrum of responsibilities and skills.
