**Position Description:**
The Chaplain reports to the Facility Manager for direct supervision. The chaplain is specifically responsible for the provision of spiritual care as indicated in each patient’s plan of care. This position is included as part of the interdisciplinary team. Spiritual care services are provided directly through coordination with other team members or by community chaplains or other spiritual counselors.
**The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Requirements:**
+ Certificate/degree from an accredited institution in the field of Pastoral Care or Theology (Master of Divinity preferred).
+ Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training (one unit minimum, four units preferred).
+ Ordination to function in a ministry of pastoral care by appropriate religious authority. If denomination does not ordain, or ordains only males, then must be commissioned to function in a ministry of pastoral care by an appropriate religious authority.
+ Eligible for Associate Membership in the Association of Professional Chaplains.
+ Minimum of one year of experience in pastoral care and comfort in an inter\-faith setting.
+ Knowledge of both the practice and management of pastoral care in a health care setting.
+ Knowledge and commitment to hospice philosophy of care.
+ Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.
+ Licensed driver with reliable transportation and auto insurance.
