Concrete Worker/Vault Driver
Job Description
**Overview:**
**This position has a lot of OT available, with working on a Saturday (half day) We are looking to advance this role to a vault driver position and we will increase pay.**
* Drive company vehicles to transport burial vaults and related materials to cemeteries and service locations.
* Load, secure, transport, and unload concrete burial vaults safely.
* Assist with the setup and placement of burial vaults at cemetery locations.
* Operate equipment such as forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
* Perform physical labor, including lifting, moving, and positioning heavy concrete products.
* Assist with manufacturing, pouring, molding, finishing, painting, and engraving burial vaults when needed.
* Inspect products for quality and ensure vaults are properly prepared for delivery.
* Follow all company safety procedures and transportation regulations.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, truck, and equipment.
* Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
* Communicate professionally with cemetery personnel, funeral homes, and customers.
* Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Be available for overtime and occasional Saturday work as needed.
**Skills and Experience:**
* Previous experience driving a work vehicle, delivery truck, or similar vehicle preferred.
* Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
* Experience safely loading, securing, and transporting heavy materials preferred.
* Previous experience with concrete, construction, manufacturing, or warehouse work is a plus.
* Experience operating a forklift or other material-handling equipment preferred.
* Comfortable performing heavy physical labor and lifting/moving heavy materials.
* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
* Strong attention to safety and ability to follow established procedures.
* Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and customer-service skills.
* Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed.
