**Job Overview**

We are seeking a compassionate and detail\-oriented Embalmer and Funeral Director to join our dedicated team. As a key member of our funeral services team, you will oversee embalming procedures, coordinate funeral arrangements, and provide bereavement support, all while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and compassion. **Responsibilities**

* Perform embalming procedures with precision, applying cosmetic techniques to restore natural appearance and ensure respectful presentation of the deceased.
* Coordinate and plan funeral services, including scheduling, logistics, and event setup to create personalized tributes.
* Provide empathetic bereavement support and clear communication to families throughout the entire funeral process.
* Handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when preparing bodies for viewing or cremation.
* Operate company vehicles for transportation of remains, equipment, or family members as needed.
* Maintain strict sanitation and mortuary science standards to ensure a clean, safe environment in accordance with health regulations.
* Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, dissection techniques, and mortuary science principles to ensure proper care of the deceased.
* Manage documentation using funeral service technology systems for record keeping, permits, and legal compliance.
* Assist with cremation processes while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
* Support clients with sales of memorial products or services while providing exceptional customer service and communication.

**Qualifications**

* Certification or licensure as an Embalmer and Funeral Director is required; relevant state or national licensing must be maintained.
* Demonstrated knowledge of mortuary science principles, anatomy, physiology, and dissection techniques.
* Experience in embalming, cosmetic application for deceased persons, and cremation procedures.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple funeral events efficiently.
* Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to bereavement support.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks associated with mortuary work.
* Familiarity with funeral service technology systems for record management and planning purposes.
* Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles in a professional setting.
* Knowledge of sanitation practices and safety protocols within a mortuary environment.
