Executive Director of Hospice
Job Description
Executive Director of Hospice Services
Catholic-Based Hospice Care | Milwaukee Area, Wisconsin
Your Leadership Can Be Someone's Peace.
Full-Time | Executive Leadership
Imagine a job where your strategy, your expertise, and your faith-driven compassion all point in the same direction.
Every day, families in our community face the hardest goodbye of their lives. What they remember isn't the paperwork. It's the nurse who held a hand. The chaplain who stayed a little longer. The team that made them feel they weren't alone.
Behind that team is a leader. We're looking for you.
Who We Are
For more than 100 years, St. Camillus has been a trusted Life Plan Community serving older adults. Inspired by St. Camillus de Lellis, patron saint of the sick, we believe every person deserves to be cared for with dignity, comfort, and love until the very end.
As a Catholic hospice program, we follow the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services. We know that in caring for our clients, we are caring for Christ Himself, fulfilling our mission.
Our hospice program is growing, and we need a visionary leader to take it to the next level.
What You'll Do
This isn't a "maintain the status quo" role. It's a build, shape, and lead role.
* Lead the heart of our hospice. Guide a passionate interdisciplinary team of nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and physicians.
* Set the standard for excellence. Drive quality improvement, survey readiness, and full compliance with federal and state regulations and CoPs.
* Own the vision and the numbers. Develop budgets, manage financial performance, and make strategic decisions that strengthen the program for years to come.
* Be the face of our mission. Build meaningful relationships with referral sources, providers, and community partners across the Milwaukee area.
* Grow a culture people want to join. Foster compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement at every level.
Why You'll Love It Here
People over profits. A mission-driven, Catholic non-profit where purpose comes first
Real influence. Shape the direction of a growing hospice program, not just run it
Leaders who have your back. A collaborative executive team and supportive culture
Your health matters too. On-site physician clinic and employee healthcare resources
Lunch is on campus. Fresh, chef-prepared meals available daily
You'll feel appreciated. Employee celebration events throughout the year
Benefits that take care of you. Medical, dental, vision, 403(b) with employer match, and generous paid time off
Is This You?
**You have:**
* A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
* A current Wisconsin RN license
* 5+ years of hospice or home health experience with strong regulatory knowledge
* 3+ years of leadership experience in hospice or a related healthcare setting
**You're known for:**
