Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery & Mausoleum – Dayton, Ohio
Dayton Memorial Park is seeking a compassionate, goal-driven Family Advisor to help families navigate both immediate cemetery needs and prearrangement planning in a professional, caring way. This full-time role blends sales and service, with an annual income potential of approximately $70,000 to $75,000, combining base salary, commission, and a monthly bonus plan.
**About the Role**
As a Family Advisor, you will:
* Guide families through cemetery arrangements at the time of loss, providing clarity, comfort, and support during a difficult and emotional experience.
* Educate and assist families in making preneed cemetery plans so they can protect their wishes and relieve future emotional and financial burdens from loved ones.
* Present cemetery property and memorialization options in a clear, compassionate, and professional manner, both in person and by phone/email/zoom calls.
* Utilize proven business development and prospecting systems to contact individuals and groups within the greater Dayton community to provide advance planning resources for final arrangements.
* Maintain an organized workflow, manage follow-up activities, and achieve monthly sales targets through self-directed prospecting and appointment setting.
* Use cemetery software to document arrangements, maintain accurate records, and ensure seamless service from first contact through follow-up.
**What We Offer**
* Average annual income potential of $70,000 - $75,000, made up of base pay, commission, and a monthly bonus plan, with additional upside for top performers.
* Health insurance benefits and a 401(k) retirement plan, offering long-term stability and security.
* Paid training in cemetery products, regulations, and sales processes, with ongoing coaching and professional development.
* A mission-driven environment where your work makes a meaningful difference for families in the Dayton area.
**What You Bring**
We are looking for candidates who:
* Have sales or client-facing experience in cemetery/funeral, insurance, financial planning, real estate, or similar consultative roles; strong customer service experience without a formal sales background will also be considered.
* Demonstrate high emotional intelligence, genuine empathy, and the ability to support people who are grieving or under stress.
* Are self-directed, disciplined, and goal-driven, with a proven ability to set daily/weekly work plans, work independently, and consistently reach or exceed sales targets.
* Possess strong organizational and computer skills, including proficiency with email, calendars, and basic office software platforms.
* Communicate clearly and professionally, both in person and in writing, and are comfortable educating families about options and costs.
* Can work effectively with both families at the time of loss and families pre-planning for final expenses.
**What You’ll Gain**
* Income potential of $70,000+ for motivated professionals, with upside tied to serving more families well.
* A competitive health and 401k benefits plan.
* The training and support you need to guide families through memorial planning conversations and presentations confidently.
* Personal growth in consultative sales, communication, and relationship-building, while doing work that genuinely matters to families.
Cemetery or funeral services and/or B2C sales experience is preferred but not required.
