Family Service Counselor (Sales & Administration)

FAMILY SERVICE COUNSELOR (SALES \& ADMINISTRATION) Forest Home Cemetery is seeking a motivated, professional individual to join our Business Office team. This position combines customer service, sales, administration, and family guidance in one of the Chicago area's historic cemeteries. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people, learning new skills, taking initiative, and growing their income through sales performance. This position offers a clear path for growth and increased earnings for individuals who demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and sales ability. What You'll Do * Assist families with at\-need and preneed cemetery arrangements. * Present cemetery property, burial options, headstones, and memorialization products. * Follow up on leads, schedule appointments, and help families make informed decisions. * Prepare contracts, permits, and related documentation. * Coordinate with funeral homes, families, and cemetery staff. * Learn all aspects of cemetery operations, including graves, crypts, niches, and headstones. * Maintain accurate records and provide exceptional customer service. What We're Looking For * A self\-motivated individual who takes ownership of their work. * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Comfort discussing pricing, contracts, and service options with customers. * Sales, customer service, banking, insurance, hospitality, healthcare, funeral service, or related experience is preferred. * Ability to learn new systems, procedures, and products. * Ability to successfully pass a background check. * Must obtain certification and licensure as a Cemetery Customer Service Employee (CCSE) through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) within one year of hire, as required by Illinois law. Compensation \& Benefits * $18\.00 \- $22\.00 per hour, based upon experience. * Uncapped commissions on eligible sales. * Paid time off and company benefits.
