Full Time Funeral Home Service Associate

Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium has a great opportunity for an energetic associate at our Manchester, NH location to help with the transfer and cremation of deceased. This is an hourly position, Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM and on\-call one night per week and one weekend per month. Our ideal candidate will have excellent people skills, a professional look and attitude, and be compassionate and caring. Must have a valid drivers license and be able to demonstrate excellent driving skills and road safety. All candidates must live within 20 minutes of the Manchester area, be able to lift 100 pounds, be able to pass a background check and be discrete due to the personal nature of this job. Qualifications: * Ability to read at or above 9th grade level * Strong verbal communication skills and good written communication skills * Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees of the company * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, involved instructions; to deal with problems having several concrete variables in or from standardized situations * Ability to work a flexible schedule as required for completion of assigned responsibilities * Ability to maintain regular attendance * Hold a valid NH or other state\-issued drivers license with no restrictions WORKING CONDITIONS \& PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Ability to stand for extended periods of time * Ability to (pinch or pick) maneuver small objects precisely by whatever means * Ability to communicate by means of the spoken word both face to face and over the telephone * Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or a larger amount of force frequently or constantly in order to move deceased * Ability to lift and move an average size adult from location of death onto stretcher with or without help * Ability to perceive depth and field of vision Job Type: Full\-time Pay: From $22\.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Employee assistance program * Health insurance * Paid time off Application Question(s): * Will you pass a standard criminal background check?
