Funeral Arranger

When you join NorthStar, you become part of a supportive community that honors tradition while embracing innovation \- all with the goal of providing meaningful, memorable experiences that reflect the lives being celebrated. **Responsibilities** * Arrange and lead funeral and memorial services with professionalism, compassion, and respect for families. * Manage all aspects of service planning, including scheduling, locations, transportation, and coordination with vendors such as florists and caterers. * Prepare and file required legal documents (death certificates, permits) and work closely with cemeteries to arrange burials. * Provide logistical support by driving funeral vehicles and delivering flowers, caskets, urns, and personal keepsakes. * Provide evening on\-call coverage as part of a rotating schedule to ensure timely response to urgent operational needs. * Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure family needs are met with care and efficiency. * Maintain accurate client records and service documentation. * Handle administrative tasks—including data entry, filing, and phone inquiries—with professionalism and attention to detail. * Uphold compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing funeral service **Requirements:** * Strong organizational skills * High school diploma or GED required. * 1\+ year of funeral industry experience preferred, but not required. We will train the right person. * Previous experience in customer service or hospitality strongly preferred. * Warm, professional presence with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Proficient in computer applications (MS Office, data entry systems). * Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute. * Strong multitasking skills; able to stay composed in fast\-paced, deadline\-driven environments. * Confident speaking in front of groups and engaging with diverse communities. * Physically capable of lifting up to 20 to 50 lbs. * Flexible schedule with weekend availability. **Compensation:** $26\- $29/hr. \+ bonus potential **Benefits** * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance * Health Savings Account (HSA) * Life Insurance * 401(k) with Employer Matching We are an equal\-opportunity employer.
