Funeral Assistant

**Part\-Time Funeral Director's Assistant** Kirby \& Family Funeral \& Cremation Services – Twin Lakes Area Kirby \& Family, the leader in exceptional funeral service in the Twin Lakes area, is seeking a reliable and professional individual to join our team as a **Funeral Director's Assistant**. This position is vital in serving families with compassion and dignity by ensuring their loved ones are transferred into our care safely and respectfully. **Position Requirements:** * Must be 18 years of age or older * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record * Nights on\-call and every other weekend availability required * Required on\-call response time of less than 20 minutes * Ability to lift 50\+ lbs * Professional attire and businesslike appearance, every day * Ability to work independently and perform tasks with minimal assistance after training * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to people during difficult times * Attention to detail with effective verbal and written communication **Key Responsibilities:** * Respond to calls to transfer decedents from the place of death to the funeral home with professionalism and care * Maintain confidentiality and compassion while serving grieving families * Assist with daily funeral home operations, including cleaning, setup, and preparation for services * Support funeral directors and staff as needed * Demonstrate Kirby \& Family’s Core Values of **Excellence, Trust, Compassion, Care, and Growth** in all aspects of the role **Job Type:** Part\-time \- approximately 10 hours per week.
