Funeral Assistant

**Duties**

* Support funeral directors in organizing and coordinating funeral services and memorial events, ensuring smooth execution
* Setup and manage audio/visual equipment during events
* Handle heavy lifting of caskets, equipment, and floral arrangements safely and efficiently
* Support funeral activities by preparing transportation and assisting with procession details; requires driving funeral vehicles
* Engage with families to offer personalized assistance, answer questions, and ensure their needs are met with sensitivity

**Qualifications**

* Experience in funeral \& mortuary services or related fields preferred; strong customer service skills essential
* Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols
* Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; experience driving funeral or similar vehicles is a plus
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in records management and event coordination
* Compassionate communicator capable of working effectively with grieving families and team members
* Knowledge of safe lifting practices and working with families during sensitive times
