This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of grieving families while working in a supportive and dynamic environment. **Responsibilities** * Assist with the planning and coordination of funeral services, including setup, logistics, and ensuring all arrangements run smoothly. * Provide compassionate bereavement support to families, offering guidance and comfort during difficult times. * Help with heavy lifting of caskets, floral arrangements, and other funeral equipment to ensure safe handling and transportation. * Support funeral directing activities by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards. * Engage in event planning tasks such as scheduling services, managing transportation logistics, and coordinating with vendors or clergy. * Maintain a professional presence at the funeral home, greeting families and visitors warmly while providing exceptional customer service. * Contribute to sales efforts by explaining services offered and assisting families in selecting appropriate options for their loved ones’ ceremonies. **Requirements** * Previous experience in funeral directing or bereavement support is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a respectful manner. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously. * Excellent interpersonal skills to offer empathetic support to grieving families and work effectively within a team. * Experience or interest in event planning to coordinate funeral services seamlessly. * Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed. * Valid driver’s license may be required for transportation duties.
