Funeral Attendant

**Duties**

* Assist with the preparation and setup of funeral services, including arranging floral displays, signage, and seating arrangements
* Support families by providing empathetic client communication and guidance throughout the funeral process
* Handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when transporting caskets, equipment, or floral arrangements
* Drive company vehicles for transportation of remains or equipment as needed, adhering to safe driving practices
* Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, record management, and ensuring all necessary materials are available on site
* Maintain accurate records of service details, client interactions, and administrative documentation in accordance with company policies
* Provide bereavement support to families and friends, offering compassionate assistance during their time of loss

**Experience**

* Previous experience in funeral \& mortuary services or related customer service roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
* Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
* Strong communication skills to work effectively with families, colleagues, and external vendors
* Experience in event planning or coordination is advantageous
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices at all times
* Willingness to be on\-call for coverage during evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
* Administrative experience with records management or event documentation is a plus
