**Funeral Assistants Needed**

Greenwood Funeral Homes and Cremation is seeking dedicated and compassionate **Funeral Assistants** to join our team. Full-time and part-time positions are available. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support during funeral events and ceremonies, ensuring that all aspects run smoothly and respectfully. This position requires a blend of organizational skills, customer service, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with care.

Work hours vary according to the funeral and visitation schedule. Funerals are generally scheduled between 8am-5pm, Monday-Saturday; visitations are scheduled between 5pm-9pm, Monday-Friday and on Sunday; and Rosaries may be scheduled at various times. Employees are generally given at least 48 hours’ advance notice when scheduled for work. Current Texas Driver's License with an insurable record is required.

**Summary of Duties**

* Provide support to funeral directors during events, including setting up venues and managing logistics. Ensure all details are managed effectively.
* Operate audio/visual equipment for sounds, music and photo presentations.
* Engage with families and guests, offering support and guidance as needed.
* Handle heavy lifting tasks related to event setup and breakdown.
* Drive family cars and limousines when working funerals.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure a respectful and dignified atmosphere at all times.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces before, during, and after events.
