Funeral Event Attendant (PT) job at Utah Valley Mortuary. Lindon, UT.
Job Description & Requirements:
We are looking for mature individuals who are personable, have a strong work ethic, look and act professionally, exhibit a caring demeanor, are excellent listeners, and demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills.
Participate in the rewarding funeral profession by working service events such as Viewings, Funeral Services, Graveside Services, and Memorial Services. Duties typically involve assisting the Funeral Director in setting up equipment at the event location (mortuary, local churches, or event venues), greeting guests, caring for the needs of the family members of the deceased, guiding the casket in and out of services, assisting pallbearers, transferring flowers, assisting at the graveside, and working with burial vault companies and cemetery workers. All necessary training will be provided.
There are no guarantees as to the number of hours that will be provided in any given work week as this is an As-Needed position only . Events are typically scheduled Monday through Saturday. Listed below are some sample times for service events:
Evening Viewings (Meet at the mortuary at 3:30 pm and finish around 9:00 pm)
Morning Viewings and Funerals (Meet at the mortuary around 7:30 am and finish around 3:00 pm)
Education & Professional Licenses Required:
No education or professional licenses are required.
Experience Required:
Experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided by licensed funeral directors and experienced staff.
