Funeral Home Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required for the care, transport, and final disposition of deceased human bodies
- Assist with planning, arranging, and carrying out funerals, and celebrations of life
- Assist with the death certificate process from inception to completion
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the funeral home
- Assist the funeral director in all tasks pertinent to the proper operation of a funeral home

Requirements:
- Applicant should be comfortable in both an office setting and a back room funeral setting including being comfortable around deceased human bodies. Applicant must be clean, neat and professional in appearance (NO VISIBLE TATTOOS or EXCESIVE FACIAL PEIRCINGS. Applicant must have a clean driving record as this job will require plenty of driving. Applicant must also be able to pass a criminal background check as well as be subject to random drug testing. If hired, recreational marijuana use would be prohibited.

This job is entry level with a very high ceiling for growth at a family owned company. Pay will be based (and raised) with basic experience and the applicants ability to be trusted with more responsibility. Applicants wishing to pursue the path of becoming a licensed funeral director is a plus; applicant will get assistance and guidance in that regard. Ability to speak spanish is a huge plus.
