**Position:** Full\-Time
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday/ some weekends occasionally

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and professional Funeral Home Assistant to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting funeral services, assisting families and staff, handling general office responsibilities, and providing assistance with transfers/removals when a death occurs.

The ideal candidate is respectful, compassionate, dependable, comfortable working in a sensitive environment, and able to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

* Assist with any and all funeral home activities.
* Help prepare and arrange facilities before and after services.
* Assist funeral home staff with the needs of families and guests.
* Answer incoming telephone calls and direct calls appropriately.
* Provide courteous and professional customer service to families and visitors.
* Assist with removals/transfers of deceased individuals when needed.
* Assist with general office duties, including filing, data entry, paperwork, and other administrative tasks.
* Use computers and common office software for daily administrative responsibilities.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
* Follow all funeral home policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
* Maintain strict confidentiality and treat every family and deceased individual with dignity and respect.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Previous funeral home, healthcare, customer service, or office experience is a plus but not required.
* Basic computer skills and ability to learn office software.
* Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
* Professional appearance and demeanor.
* Must be comfortable working around deceased individuals and assisting with removals.
* Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional during emotionally difficult situations.
* Ability to lift and assist with transfers as required by the position.
* Valid driver's license

Pay: $15\.00 per hour
