**Responsibilities**

* Assist with funeral preparations, including heavy lifting and safe manual handling of caskets, floral arrangements, and equipment
* Support funeral directors with event planning and coordination to ensure seamless services
* Provide bereavement support to families, offering compassionate communication and guidance throughout the process
* Manage records accurately, including documentation of services, client information, and event details
* Drive company vehicles for transportation of equipment or family members when needed, adhering to safe driving practices
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the funeral home environment to uphold professional standards
* Offer on\-call coverage as part of an emergency response team, ensuring availability for urgent needs or after\-hours support

**Experience**

* Previous experience in funeral \& mortuary services or related customer service roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided
* Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently
* Strong communication skills for working effectively with families and team members
* Experience in event planning or event coordination is advantageous
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices
* Administrative experience including records management and client communication is beneficial
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties
