This is a unique and deeply meaningful role that requires professionalism, reliability, and compassion. **Position:** Funeral Home Deceased Transport Specialist (On\-Call) **Location:** Marquette, MI **Schedule:** On\-call **Availability**, 24\-hour shifts (12:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.) Open to other schedules, just need drivers available at all times. **Monthly Pay:** **$500–$1,500/month** depending on how often you are available. **Workload \& Logistics:** * Our Marquette team handles **approximately 30–50 transport calls per month** * Some days may have **no calls at all**, while others could include **3–5 calls in one day** * On\-call shifts require **availability**, but not constant work — actual working hours are generally low and spread out * You’ll have plenty of time for your normal day\-to\-day life — just keep your dress clothes handy and be ready to respond quickly if a call comes in **What the Job Involves**: * On\-call response to death calls from homes, facilities, hospitals, and ME offices * Transporting deceased individuals to funeral homes or designated locations * Operating company vehicles and stretchers with care and professionalism * Representing local funeral homes with integrity and compassion at every interaction * Building trust with local nurses, care facilities, and hospice teams throughout the area **What We Expect:** * **On the road in 20 minutes or less** when called * Professional attire during all transports (dress pants, collared shirt, etc.) * Ability to lift and move 100\+ lbs respectfully and safely * Valid driver’s license and clean driving record * Reliable, discreet, and level\-headed at all times * Must live in or near the Marquette area (or stay locally during on\-call shifts) **Who This Role is Perfect For:** **Retired or semi\-retired members of the Marquette community** — looking to stay active, earn extra income, and provide an important service to families across the U.P.
