Funeral Home General Duty Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and professional individual to join our funeral home team in a General Duty role. This position plays a vital part in supporting families during difficult times while insuring the smooth daily operation of our facility. Candidate must have a polite, respectful and empathetic demeanor, a professional, clean\-cut appearance. A clean driving record with a valid driver's license. Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and compassion. Physical ability to assist with transport and heavy lifting capabilities are required.

Key Responsibilities

* Transport and handle the deceased with dignity and care, including removals and transfers
* Operate vehicles for transporting remains or equipment as required, demonstrating safe driving skills and adherence to traffic regulations
* Support heavy lifting tasks involving caskets, equipment, or supplies while practicing safe lifting techniques to prevent injury
* Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks effectively
* Assist with light facility maintenance and upkeep to maintain a clean and respectful environment
* Support office operations by answering phones professionally and courteously
* Prepare documents, assist with record keeping, and perform basic computer tasks accurately
* Provide general support during services and daily operations as needed

Pay: $18\.00 per hour
