Job Description
**Funeral Home Removal Assistant (On Call)**
Eastside Memorial Park Funerals & Cremations is in need of a removal personnel . Duties would include an on call, part time passenger or driver to various locations to assist in the removal of a deceased. Eastside Memorial seeks hard working, compassionate individuals who are accountable to pick up their phones after hours from 4:30pm till 8am. You are to meet at Eastside Memorial Park, then travel to the location of the deceased, and bring the deceased back to the funeral home.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Performs removals of deceased from hospital, nursing home, residence, or accident scene to transport to the funeral home.
* May perform removals from medical examiners office in Reno
* Maintains and ensures removal vehicle is clean inside and out and is properly maintained.
* Maintains adequate supply of Personal Protective Equipment in removal vehicles
**Requirements & Qualifications**
**Requirements:**
* Vehicle required to get to cemetery
* Background check required
**Certification/License:**
* Valid Driver’s License with a Clean Driving Record
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**
* Professional appearance
* Ability to lift 150- 200+ pounds
* Ability to follow instructions given over the phone or in person
* Ability to work and communicate effectively with others
* Ability to work with kindness and compassion for the deceased and their families
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations
* Must be able to work on a rotating on call schedule
**Payment**
* Per Call $100
* Approximately 2 hours per call time
