Funeral Home Removal Tech
Job Description
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the care, removal and transport of human remains in accordance with all state, local and company policies and procedures.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs removals of deceased from hospital, nursing home or residence.
Transports decedent to funeral facility.
Performs duties with strict adherence to Identification policies and procedures.
Maintains and ensures removal vehicle is clean inside and out and is properly maintained.
You would work in rotation with other techs, and compensated per removal based on distance traveled. $50 per call minimum.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
APPEARANCE
Candidates must be clean and carry a professional appearance and demeanor and follow a dress code.
EDUCATION:
High School or GED equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
None required\-\-training is provided
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Clean Personal record
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS \& ABILITIES:
Professional appearance required
Ability to follow instructions given over the phone or in person
Ability to work and communicate effectively with others
Ability to work with kindness and compassion for the deceased and their families
Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations
Must be able to work on a rotating on call schedule
Must be reliable
Must be able to lift 75lbs Unassisted and 200\+ pounds assisted.
This position requires day time availability, and could possibly work into part time employment.
