Funeral Service Assistant

**Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and professional Funeral Service Attendant to join our team. **Responsibilities**

* Provide compassionate bereavement support to grieving families and visitors
* Prepare and organize funeral service locations, ensuring all necessary materials are available
* Perform heavy lifting when handling caskets, equipment, or floral arrangements
* Support funeral directors during services, including guiding processions and managing logistics
* Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

**Requirements**

* Must have prior experience or training in bereavement support, funeral directing, and assisting on a funeral or memorial service is preferred but not mandatory
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide empathetic support to families
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment requiring standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects
* Compassionate demeanor with a respectful attitude towards grieving individuals
* Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends or evenings if needed
