Graphic Designer/Marketing Specialist
Job Description
About McKague Millard
McKague Millard is a privately owned network of locally managed funeral homes, cemeteries, cremation centers, and monument businesses across Missouri. Our home office is in Jefferson City, and our locations serve Central Missouri, the Kansas City area, North Central Missouri, the St. Louis area, Southeast Missouri, and Southwest Missouri.
We are not corporate, and we never want to be. Each funeral home keeps its own name, its own local staff, and the close-knit feel that its community trusts. Our Marketing & Design team helps each of these businesses look and sound like itself, while staying consistent and professional.
About the role
We're looking for a talented graphic designer who can move easily between many different brand styles. You'll design print and digital ads, marketing materials, and branded items for funeral homes and cemeteries across our network. Each one has its own identity, and your job is to make every piece feel true to that brand.
This is a full-time role that reports directly to the Marketing & Design Director. You'll join a small team that includes a social media manager and two funeral design specialists.

* Coordinate with local sign companies to provide correct logos, files, and brand information
**Writing and other support**
* Help write scripts for occasional radio and TV ads
* Create occasional social media graphics in support of our social media manager
* Manage multiple projects and requests at once, keep files organized, and meet deadlines

* Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field
* 1–3 years of professional graphic design experience
* Proven, hands-on skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, verified through native working files and a skills exercise (see How to apply)

* Strong eye for layout, typography, and detail, including print-ready file setup
* Good writing skills and comfort helping with ad copy and scripts
