**Duties**

* Assist with digging graves using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment while following strict safety protocols
* Maintain cemetery grounds through mowing, landscaping, planting, pruning, and tree trimming to ensure a neat and welcoming environment
* Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools with precision and care
* Support landscape maintenance tasks including planting flowers or shrubs, managing irrigation systems, and applying pesticides safely when needed
* Help with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways accessible and safe for visitors
* Follow safety procedures diligently during all outdoor activities and equipment operation to prevent accidents or injuries
* Assist with general grounds maintenance tasks such as debris removal, soil preparation, and minor construction or hardscape repairs

**Skills**

* Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping equipment including power tools, irrigation systems, and hand tools
* Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, tree care, and hardscape installation or repair
* Ability to identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests; knowledge of pesticide management is a plus
* Familiarity with lawn care practices such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration
* Knowledge of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment operation
* Previous experience in groundskeeping or outdoor maintenance roles preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued
* Construction experience or skills in hardscape projects can be advantageous for minor site improvements
