We value commitment, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to this important work. **Duties** * Prepare burial plots by excavating and backfilling graves with precision and safety. * Operate excavation equipment such as backhoes and trenchers efficiently and responsibly. * Assist funeral directors and families during interment services with professionalism and sensitivity. * Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the cemetery grounds, including mowing, trimming, and landscaping. * Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues. * Record all burial activities accurately in logs and cemetery records for proper documentation. * Support ongoing maintenance tasks to preserve the dignity and beauty of the cemetery grounds. **Skills** * Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively in various weather conditions. * Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor, including digging, lifting, and standing for extended periods. * Attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping and precise excavation work. * Compassionate demeanor when interacting with grieving families or visitors. * Knowledge of safety procedures related to excavation equipment and cemetery operations. * Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate smoothly with colleagues during busy periods. * Prior experience in groundskeeping, excavation, or related roles is preferred but not required.
