Ground Maintenance Worker

Grounds Maintenance Crew Member – Veterans Cemetery We are seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team maintaining the grounds of a Veterans Cemetery. Schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM *Occasional weekend work may be required* Location Veterans Cemetery Pay \& Benefits * Competitive pay (based on experience) * Paid holidays * Sick leave * Vacation time Key Responsibilities * Maintain cemetery grounds through mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and weed control * Care for landscaping including lawns, flower beds, shrubs, hedges, and trees * Operate landscaping and heavy equipment such as mowers, tractors, trimmers, blowers, sprayers, and other tools * Assist with interment services, including lifting and placing caskets on lowering devices * Support maintenance and minor repairs of the cemetery irrigation/water systems * Assist with upkeep and basic repairs of equipment * Set and receive memorial markers as needed * Ensure all work is performed safely, respectfully, and with attention to detail Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required * Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions * Comfortable performing physical labor, including lifting and operating equipment * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions * Reliable, respectful, and team\-oriented * Basic problem\-solving and decision\-making skills * Good hand\-eye coordination and dexterity * Prior landscaping or equipment operation experience is a plus (but not required) Why This Role Matters This is more than a maintenance job—it’s an opportunity to contribute to a place of honor and remembrance.
