**JOB SUMMARY:**

The work of this position involves operating and maintaining heavy equipment associated with the daily operations of the city cemeteries.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:**

* Knowledge of policy and procedures pertaining to grave improvements and maintenance.
* Knowledge of achieving grade pertaining to burials.
* Knowledge of and ability to maintain assigned equipment.
* Skills in operating heavy equipment such as front\-end loader and back\-loader.
* Skills in operating all Cemetery equipment as needed.
* Skills to perform basic administrative and clerical tasks.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent. One year experience in a similar position.
* Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from state of residency.
* Must obtain National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100 and 700 within three (3\) months of employment.
