Hospice Aide
Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate, well-trained Hospice Aide who is dedicated to the highest standards of care and professionalism.
As a Hospice Aide, you will provide one-on-one personal care services to terminally ill patients in collaboration with our interdisciplinary care team. You will also support and offer comfort to patients’ families in the home and during times of bereavement. You will have the full support and collaboration of an experienced and caring healthcare team.
#### **QUALIFICATIONS (Required)**
#### **Must hold BOTH of the following certifications:**
* Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
* Current Kansas Home Health Aide (HHA) certification
#### **Additional Qualifications:**
* Minimum of 2 years of CNA experience
* Minimum of 1 year of hospice patient care experience, preferred
* Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
* Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Please note: Both CNA and Home Health Aide certifications are required for this position.
#### **Responsibilities:**
* Provide compassionate personal care to hospice patients, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
* Monitor, observe, and document patient conditions, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
* Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and family members
* Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
* Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure highquality, individualized patient care
