Hospice Chaplain
Job Description
**Position Overview**
The Hospice Chaplain will provide spiritual care, counseling, and support to patients and families during the final stages of illness. Services are provided across multiple care settings, including patients’ homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and adult foster homes.
**Location:** Albany, OR / Service Area
**Pay Rate:** $55/hr
**Contract:** 13 weeks
**Schedule:** Days (0800-1630) no weekends
**Service Area:** Linn, Benton, Marion, Polk, Lincoln, and Tillamook Counties.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field **OR**:
* Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field + 2 years of pastoral, spiritual, or medical experience, **OR**
* Associate’s degree in a related field + 2 years of Chaplain experience
* Must be ordained, commissioned, licensed, or endorsed by a pastoral/spiritual community
* Experience or training in pastoral/spiritual care required
* CPE, Stephen’s Ministry, coursework toward ordination, or equivalent training preferred/accepted
* Valid driver’s license and required auto insurance
* Reliable personal vehicle required
* Must be able to travel between multiple patient care locations
* **Master’s degree preferred**
