**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
* Provide spiritual counseling and emotional support tailored to each patient's faith background and personal beliefs
* Conduct regular visits to patients’ homes or care facilities to assess spiritual needs and offer comfort
* Facilitate end\-of\-life discussions with patients and families, respecting their values and wishes
* Lead prayer sessions, religious rituals, or ceremonies as appropriate and requested
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate spiritual care into overall patient treatment plans
* Offer bereavement support to families before and after a patient's passing through counseling sessions or support groups
* Develop educational programs, workshops, or presentations on topics related to hospice care, grief management, or spiritual wellness
**Skills**
* Strong communication skills with the ability to listen actively and convey empathy effectively
* Expertise in hospice care principles and practices that address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
* Experience in bereavement support, crisis intervention, and crisis management techniques
* Skilled in teaching, public speaking, presentation development, and event planning for community outreach or educational purposes
* Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor colleagues and guide families through complex emotional situations
* Proficiency in Christian counseling (or other faith\-based counseling) tailored to diverse spiritual backgrounds
* Conflict management skills to navigate sensitive conversations with compassion and professionalism
