Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Director/ Embalmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the funeral service profession, demonstrating both professionalism and empathy while guiding families through their difficult times. This role requires a blend of technical skills, customer service, and event planning capabilities to ensure that every funeral service is conducted with dignity and respect.

**Responsibilities**

* Coordinate all aspects of funeral services, including planning, logistics, and execution.
* Provide guidance to families in selecting appropriate services and products.
* Prepare the deceased for viewing by sanitizing, cosmetology, and dressing as needed.
* Conduct arrangements for transportation of the deceased and manage necessary documentation.
* Oversee the setup of the funeral service location, ensuring all details are attended to.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health regulations.
* Provide support during visitations and memorial services, ensuring a respectful environment.
* Engage in sales activities related to funeral products and services offered by the establishment.
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Handle heavy lifting tasks associated with moving caskets or other equipment as required.

**Experience**
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

* Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to embalming and preparation processes.
* Proven customer service experience, demonstrating empathy and effective communication.
* Familiarity with event planning principles to coordinate various aspects of funeral services.
* Experience in cosmetology or related fields is preferred for preparing the deceased.
* Prior experience in funeral directing or a similar role is highly desirable.
* Ability to perform tasks that require heavy lifting and physical stamina.
